X-WR-CALDESC:Childhood experiences\, both positive and negative\, have a tr
emendous impact on future violence victimization and perpetration\, and li
felong health and opportunity. As such\, early experiences are an importan
t public health issue. Much of the foundational research in this area has
been referred to as Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).\n\nAdverse Child
hood Experiences have been linked to:\n\nrisky health behaviors\,\nchronic
  health conditions\,\nlow life potential\, and\nearly death.\n\nAs the num
ber of ACEs increases\, so does the risk for these outcomes. Children in f
oster care need our support in order to overcome their ACEs.\n\nDave Locke
ridge\, ACE Overcomers\, will provide 12 hours of training in how to help
children overcome ACEs and build healthy life-skills\, reduce conflict and
improve self-control. This training will help adults learn how to connect
with children who have been impacted by trauma and toxic stress.\nOct 11
